Wizards and Witches Carving and Broom

November 1-7, 2026

Brasstown, NC

Like magic, transform wooden sticks and sorghum straw into enchanting, one-of-a-kind witch or wizard brooms featuring hand-carved faces. Spend the first days learning intricate face carving skills, incorporating stains and woodburning to create realistic characters. Then, switch to using 18th-century broom making techniques to transform your carved branches into handles for artisan plaited hearth sweepers and cobweb besom brooms. Presto! All levels welcome
