I was fortunate to inherit my Grandfather’s, 1925 Gearhart Sock Knitting Machine. I began knitting with it after it had sat in a closet for more than 50 years. All the parts were there except the legs for the stand. I have modified a couple of pieces (raised the mast and slotted the carrier) but for the most part am knitting socks and scarves and hats just like my grandparents
